Roman Blind Guide
Measuring Guide
General Measuring Tips:
- Use a metal tape measure for accuracy.
- Always measure in millimetres.
- Decide whether you want the blinds to hang inside the recess or outside the frame.
- Check for obstructions like furniture, walls, or window handles.
Recess Fit – Inside Mount
Steps to Measure:
- Measure the recess width in three places (top, middle, and bottom) and record the shortest measurement.
- Measure the drop in three places and record the shortest measurement.
Important Notes:
- A 5 mm tolerance is allowed.
- The fabric width will be 5 mm narrower than the bracket measurement.
Face Fit – Outside Mount
Steps to Measure:
- Measure the exact width of the window frame.
- Add 40 mm - 100 mm to each side to reduce gaps and improve light control.
- Example: If the width is 1810 mm, adding 200 mm gives you a total of 2010 mm.
- Measure the drop from the top to the desired bottom point.
Important Notes:
- Provide exact measurements as no allowance is made.
Measuring the Drop
- Measure from the top of the frame to where you'd like the blind to finish.
-
Recommendation: Add 100 mm - 150 mm to the drop to mount the blind above the architrave, allowing the window to be fully visible when the blind is raised.
- Example: A drop of 1200 mm becomes 1300 mm when adding 100 mm.
- For shorter windows: Extend the drop 50 mm - 100 mm below the sill.
- For full-length windows: Measure to 20 mm off the floor. For drops over 2410 mm, leave a 30 mm clearance.
Additional Consideration:
Make a note of which side you'd like your cord or chain on. Consider which side is easiest to reach, obstruction-free, and where it will be least visible.
Roman Blind Options
Fabric Choice: Choose according to your light control needs, such as blockout fabrics for bedrooms.

Installation Guide
1. Bracket Placement:
