Roller Blind Guide

Measuring Guide

    General Measuring Tips

    • Use a metal tape measure for accurate measurements.
    • Always measure in millimetres.
    • Decide whether you want the blinds to hang inside the window recess or outside the frame.
    • Check for obstructions like adjacent walls, furniture, or window handles.

        Recess Fit – Inside Mount

This option allows the blind to fit neatly within the window recess for a polished look.

        Steps to Measure:

        1. Measure the width of the recess (wall to wall) in three places.
        2. Record the shortest measurement.
        3. Measure the drop (top of recess to window sill) in three places.
        4. Record the shortest measurement.

        Important Notes:

        • A standard factory allowance of 5 mm will be made.
        • There will be a 10-15 mm gap on each side of the width due to the space between the bracket and fabric edge. (Refer to the fitting diagram for clarification.)

          Face Fit – Outside Mount

This option is ideal for covering unattractive architraves and creating the illusion of larger windows.

          Steps to Measure:

          1. Measure the desired width of the blind.
          2. Measure the drop from the top of where you want the blind to the bottom.
          3. To minimise light gaps and maximise privacy, ensure the blind overlaps the recess by at least 50 mm on all sides.

          Important Notes:

          • No allowances will be made. The blind will be manufactured to the exact sizes provided.

            Roller Blind Options

            1. Standard Roll:

            • Fabric rolls from the back, sitting close to the window or architrave for maximum light control.
            • Ideal for blackout blinds but may obstruct window handles.

              2.  Reverse Roll:

              • Fabric rolls from the front, providing clearance for window handles.
              • Allows more light to enter through gaps, making it less suitable for bedrooms or theatre rooms.

                  Control Options

                  • Chain Control: Provides precise control for raising or lowering blinds.

                  • Available in metal, white, black, grey and silver.
                  • Chain Controls can be positioned on either the left or right side of the blind.

                    Installation Guide

                    1. Bracket Placement:

                      • Both brackets are identical. Rotate one 180° so the back plates align. Ensure brackets are level.

                      2. Fabric Attachment:

                        • Fix the fabric to the pre-taped roller and insert the control mechanism on either side.

                        3. Bracket Installation:

                          • Secure the control mechanism into the bracket using the cross-cut design.

                          4. Final Steps:

                            • Insert the end plug into the opposite side and secure it into the bracket.
                            • Attach end caps to the bottom bar for a finished look.
